thought it has been almost a week since what happened last weeked, i still want to blog about it to vent my unhappiness out!

last weekend, i went to a taiwanese gathering with Janet. supposed to be a-still-ok gathering. however, an uncle's appearence totally spoiled my mood!!!

it's a round dining table, the uncle just sit next to me, followed by his sons and wife. as he has just been here for around 1 year, so it's normal if he would like to find out more about singapore.
therefore, a question was thrown to us.

uncle: is the pay in singapore higher as compare to taiwan?
Enci: i think xxxxx.....
(he then cut in half way)
uncle: you are student right?! i think you have no voice in this issue!

WELL, THAT'S A VERY GOOD COMMENT HE GAVE! i smiled awkwardly and continued eating. i enjoyed my food apparently, the truth is, i was seething with rage internally!!!!!!!

seriously, although i am a student, doesnt mean that i have no right to speak out! to give comment on something what i think is correct! if i was still a sec student today, i might not be so angry coz what i know would be much more limited.

the thing is i am now 20 years old already, and i have been here for 7 or 8 years plus, i belived that i am much more familiar with the market in sg than he does even though he is an adult!!!!

so uncle, please update urself to acknowledge that students do read newspapers other than mugging. students do have the right and remarkable opinions.
